Every year, Richmond Magazine publishes their list of "Top Docs," and our own Dr. Mitchell Waskin has made the list, again!
In fact, this year marks the seventh year that The Foot & Ankle Center has made the list. We'd also like to congratulate our fellow podiatrists who were also honored as Top Docs this year: Dr. David Weiss, Dr. David Binder, Dr. Simon Mest, Dr. James Shadbolt, and Dr. Scott Vantre. Each of these doctors are fine, experienced podiatrists serving the Richmond area.
Richmond, Va., is truly blessed to have so many excellent choices for foot care.
With so many options, how do you choose the best podiatrist for you? Well, looking at awards like Top Docs is one way, but there are several things you should consider when choosing the best foot doctor.
- First, look at the capabilities of the podiatry practice you're considering. Do they provide all the services you're likely to need under one roof? The Foot & Ankle Center is rather unusual in this respect; not only do we provide the foot care services you'd expect from a podiatry clinic, we also have an accredited foot surgery suite right in our office, as well as on-site physical therapy services, the latest laser therapy for pain management, a specialty shoe shop and even an on-site medical-grade nail spa.
- Another way to evaluate local podiatry practices is to check various review sites and see what their patients have to say about the care they received. Google, Angie's List and RateMDs are some good places to start. We have a page on our website with links to many of these sites where you can check our reviews.
