Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common types of heel pain. It’s caused by an inflammation of the connective tissue, or plantar fascia , that stretches from the base of the toes, across the arch of the foot, to the point where it inserts into the heel bone. Overpronation is the most common cause of plantar fasciitis . As the foot rolls inward excessively when walking, it flattens the foot, lengthens the arch, and puts added tension on the plantar fascia. Over time, this causes inflammation.
While some cases may call for surgery, chances are we can treat your heel pain successfully without surgery. If you're suffering from heel pain, please get in touch! Just give us a call, or use the form at the bottom of this page to request an appointment.
